Hi, where can i get good info how to handle the server.

Like the Adminstar on scoreboard?
How to Ban player from own server?

ok i managed to make my server running.

What i want is pretty easy:
I found sponsors that will pay me to make some nice maps, where i include some of there Logos and Names (e.g. on the walls instead of any kind of pictures).

So to spread it out i made my server running.

No i nead to know how to admin my server.

Like ban player who are ****
spammfilter for players you write 10 things at a time
statistiks on the server (right now its just 100/150 games)
ranking on the scoreboard
Stars on scoreboard for admin and Friends (no Clan just friends of server)
.... and all the other needfull stuff...


So i first need knowledge about administration the server.

I have a german gamers who allready made some maps, so he is telling me how to do that shit.

indeed as beast says go to the emz site, or check out this sort of emz instruction manual thing http://www.the-emz.com/doom3/latest/. It lists all the comands/settings that you will need to admin a server eg kick players, add stars etc. it also lists all script for server settings which you can place directly into the server config file to make server defaults.

Dont forget to add a server console password in your emzserver.cfg (configeration file for emz) and include it in the startup line command when u run doom. If not you can't activate the console from ingame.

OK my server is just a listen one. However Dedicated doenst work at my computer. Maybe i just need to do clean installation.

Not the Problem.


So far my server is running fine. It runs on EMZ MOD with little statistik of games u playes on my server and how many wins and "not the first on scoreboard" (just not to say looses)

It also has automatic spammcontroll. For those guys who like to disturb the game asslike with there binding. They will get muted automaticly after a certain amount of spamm.

Same think works with missusing of Votes.
U Know this guys who always votes KICKS because they are just loosing or why ever.

If u stand still more than 60 seconds u will be automaticly set to spectate.

Gamers who support my server with mapbuilding or promoting will get
a "star" like u know from the scoreboard if u are a clan member.
THIS MEANS NO CLAN STAR on my server.
ITS more FRIEND of the Server.

What happens if u support me and get the star.

First of all: i use this Server not only for work.
I found sponsors who started a onlinegaming projekt with me.
They want to spend some money for advertising in onlinegames.
I will take care to set up a "system" hjow to do best.

So i will set up custom build Maps and many more stuff
to make this server more interessting to people.

Acyd allready send me 2 maps completly build by him.
The are online and in autodownload from my server available.
They called ASYS and ADRENALIN.

Next time my server is up, join and test the maps.
Nice, not very perfect but nice. Specially Adrenalin is a map
wher u will like to play with 8-12 players in Deathmatch.

So havin a star means:
u cant get kicked - well only by me
u can enter the server if its full. Then a notfriend will be notified and kicked. He will comeback later anyway.
